Child malnutrition falls in Khombole
Child malnutrition in the district of Khombole in Senegal has fallen dramatically thanks to a national nutrition strengthening project funded by the World Bank in partnership with Plan Senegal.
Plan has been operating in Senegal since 1982, helping poor children to access their rights to education, health and protection.
Our programmes benefit 32,000 children in 600 communities across Senegal.
Currently, we are focusing on a programme for the care and protection of thousands of begging children in the suburban areas of Dakar, in collaboration with the ‘centre de Sauvegarde’ and another local non-governmental organisation.
